rhythmic folk pop with a touch of sad girl vibes

Victoria ashlyn

Hi, I’m Victoria Ashlyn, a 26-year-old folk-pop singer-songwriter based in Eugene, Oregon. I’d describe my sound as an acoustic mix of emo folk and bedroom pop. My completely self-made project tiny sailboat is now avaialble on my YouTube channel.

education & experience

I’ve always loved music and expressing myself through writing. Growing up just outside of Phoenix, I spent my high school years performing at various gigs and competitions, from the school talent show to the Arizona State Fair.

Just after graduating from high school, I self-released my debut project, As a Dweller. It was made with the help of a generous producer at Black Cat Studios in Phoenix. For a while afterward, I was a little embarrassed by its rough edges, but I’ve come to appreciate it as an honest emotional testimony of that time period. Nonetheless, this marked a bit of a disconnect in my relationship with music as my life transitioned.

I earned an English degree from the University of Oregon and have always had a particular affinity for poetry. This inspired me to take specialized creative writing courses and serve as the Senior Poetry Editor of my campus literary journal. This time allowed me to continue nurturing my creative spirit and refine my narrative voice, to later bring into the music I’m so excited to share with you on tiny sailboat.
